Democrat President Joe Biden bolted for vacation on Thursday, after returning to work midweek from being on vacation, following five damaging developments for the administration this week.
Biden departed the White House for a vacation in Wilmington, Delaware yesterday afternoon, after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said earlier this week that the administration would not disclose who Biden meets with when goes back to his home state.
“And no, I can confirm we are not going to be providing information about the comings and goings of the President’s grandchildren or people visiting him in Delaware,” Psaki said.
Biden’s vacation, which is now the 18th time that he has gone back to Delaware during the first six and a half months of his presidency, comes as the administration suffered numerous setbacks and damaging headlines this week.
By my count, this is Biden’s 18th trip home to Delaware, all of part of 48 days.
Compares at same point in presidency to:
Trump – 7 trips to Mar-a-Lago, 5 to Bedminster (50 days)
Obama – 1 trip home to Chicago (4 days);
GWBush – 7 trips to Texas ranch (36 days)

1. Inflation for businesses reached the highest levels ever recorded.
Fox Business reported:
Producer prices accelerated at the fastest annual pace on record in July as supply chain disruptions and materials shortages continued to put upward pressure on costs. The producer price index for final demand increased at a 7.8% pace for the 12 months ended July, according to the Labor Department. The July print was faster than the 7.3% pace recorded in June and ahead of the 7.3% rate that analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting. The reading was the strongest since recordkeeping began in November 2010. Producer prices rose 1% in July, matching the increase from June. Analysts were anticipating prices would grow at a 0.6% pace.
New polling shows that the overwhelming majority of Americans — nearly 80% — blame Biden for the inflation that the U.S. experiencing.
2. Coronavirus cases are surging as the administration struggles to get America vaccinated.
Last year, Biden tweeted: “We’re eight months into this pandemic, and Donald Trump still doesn’t have a plan to get this virus under control. I do.”

Now, nearly seven months into his administration, Biden is seeing a massive surge in coronavirus cases and is struggling to get the entire country vaccinated, despite being given multiple highly effective vaccines at the start of his administration to get the pandemic under control.
Left-leaning media organizations, like Axios, have reported that the Biden administration’s “handling of the Delta surge has left Americans confused and frustrated, fueling media overreaction and political manipulation.”

3. Biden’s border crisis worsened for the 6th straight month to the worst month ever recorded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The Biden administration is facing a “serious challenge” at the US southern border, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Thursday, saying the US has encountered an “unprecedented” number of migrants illegally crossing the border. … In July, US Customs and Border Protection apprehended 212,672 people, up from June and amid some of the hottest summer weeks — when arrests usually dip — and of those, 95,788 individuals were expelled.
The 212,672 number is the highest-level ever recorded by DHS, which was created in 2002 in response to the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks.
Border apprehension numbers under Joe Biden.
March: 173,265 (15-year high)
April: 178,850 (Old 21-year high)
May: 180,641 (Old 21-year high)
June: 188,829 (Old 21-year high)
July: 212,672 (New 21-year high)

4. The situation in Afghanistan is rapidly deteriorating after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from the nation.
The Taliban now controls the majority of the country as it is rapidly seizing capital cities in the nation’s numerous provinces. The administration is now reportedly pleading with the terrorists to spare the U.S. Embassy in Kabul and is having to send troops back into the nation to help evacuate Americans. European nations are already hardening resistance against the notion of having a massive surge of Afghan nationals come to their countries amid a refugee crisis sparked by the rapidly deteriorating situation.
5. Video surfaced allegedly showing Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, admitting that Russian drug dealers have blackmail on him.
The Daily Mail reported:
Hunter Biden claimed Russians stole another one of his laptops for blackmail while he was close to overdosing in a Las Vegas hotel room, DailyMail.com can reveal. The alleged incident would mean Hunter lost a total of three computers — the first abandoned at a Delaware computer store and the second seized by federal agents — each likely to hold sensitive information on President Joe Biden and the embarrassing pictures, videos and communications of his son. The third laptop still appears to be missing – and was taken by Russian drug dealers after they partied with Hunter in Vegas, he told a prostitute in a conversation caught on camera.
